Bill's Beagle

The beagle pup setting is an interpretation of an A.S.P.C.A. calendar cover. Three different tan-brown-red streaky opal glass colors were combined with two opal white glasses to compose the beagle's body. The streaky opal grey-black-brown of the tree limbs are heavily textured with the back side facing out. The sky colors are wispy blue-white opal and the foreground corner is an opal burnt sienna. The three dimensional wafer-thin transparent green leaves spring forth on polished patina as do the wire whiskers.

The overall size is 12" x 12" including the corner-mitred zinc frame finished in matte black enamel. It complements the polished pewter black patina on the balance of the piece and the pup's glossy black eye nuggets.
