3-D Hovering Hummer

An expanded version of a © Glass Whirls pattern, the three-dimensional cagework alternates clear and iridized glue chip whirls. The 24-piece ruby-throated hummingbird © Amazing Glasse 2000 is red and green iridized glass with transparent grey-white opalescent body and wings in the hovering position. Three opaque red flowers © Amazing Glasse 2000 are double-layered construction with wire pistils and stamen. Twelve leaves are translucent medium green heavily textured and tastefully attached to the copper wire vinework. A polished bright copper patina completes this 9" x 9" creation which swivels about its suspension hardware.
